Things to keep in mind when shopping for throw pillows:
1) Purchase high-quality pillows made of down or a down mixture. Polyester inserts tend to go flat and will not last as long as down. If you purchase pillows with removable covers, you can switch out the covers and use the inserts.
2) If using on the ends of a couch, consider purchasing two matching pillows for a cohesive look. If using on a bed or chair, one will work. If you are looking to supplement the cushions on your couch or daybed, you may need three to five pillows.
3) Layering pillows in varying colors or the same color palette with various textures is a great way to add depth and visual interest to a room.
Rugs
Area rugs make a huge impact with minimal effort. With so many options, where do you start? We recommend taking a minute to think about a few keys items:
1) What look are you trying to achieve? Formal and sophisticated? Bold? Relaxed and neutral?
2) How will the space be used? If the rug will be in a space with high traffic or where food may be dropped, you may opt for a lower pile that cleans easier.
