There are a lot of misconceptions and even some negative connotations around laminate and we’re excited to clear things up and introduce you to the new era of laminate floors. Before we reveal our newest laminate line, let’s first dig in to what exactly a laminate floor is.

Laminate is a hybrid flooring product that has an HDF core, stabilizing backer board, decorative image layer, and is finished with a melamine finish to ensure incredible durability. A well constructed laminate floor is one of the most durable and environmentally-friendly floors available.

Now that we’ve defined what a laminate floor is, we’re thrilled to introduce you to the newest laminate line to hit our showroom floor - BelleLuxe Waterproof Wood!

BelleLuxe is manufactured in Thomasville, North Carolina by Karastan Carpets. Since 1928, Karastan has been synonymous with luxury, so it comes as no surprise that they execute each element of a laminate floor to the highest standard possible. There are 3 collections within the BelleLuxe line, and all of the collections have the same incredible qualities with a range of looks for different decorating styles.

COLLECTIONS

WetProtect

WetProtect is Mohawk’s (Karastan’s parent company) patented waterproof flooring system complete with water tight joints and a waterproof finish. The WetProtect finish allows BelleLuxe to be installed in all areas of the home without worry, including bathrooms, laundry rooms and kitchens.

Signature

One of the things that has a large effect on how desirable a laminate looks is the image layer itself. Belleluxe laminate images are created from images of actual hardwood floors. Signature Technology achieves a wood floor look that is indistinguishable from natural hardwoods. There are over 1,000 colors per square inch on each graphic, and 64 layers of texture are added so not only do the planks look identical to real wood but they feel identical too. The resolution of Belleluxe planks are 4x better than other laminate floors.
